Dejounte Murray Could Return Next Week

The New Orleans Pelicans haven't seen Dejounte Murray play in an NBA game in over year, but his return to play is coming soon. According to Pelicans head coach James Borrego, Murray should be back next week. Murray has been rehabbing from a torn Achilles' tendon suffered at the end of January last year.

"He's close," Borrego said about Murray's impending season debut. "I'd say in the next week, he's back on the floor playing NBA games, which is amazing."

In his first season with the Pelicans, the veteran point guard appeared in 31 games. A fractured left hand injury cost him several weeks early last season. When he tore his Achilles', Murray was averaging 17.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 2.0 steals per game for New Orleans.
