Domantas Sabonis Out For Season With Torn Meniscus Repair

Domantas Sabonis underwent season-ending surgery on Wednesday to repair the torn meniscus in his left knee. Sabonis had rehabbed the injury initially and returned to game action. Sabonis then became a trade candidate at the deadline but was retained by the Sacramento Kings.
In 19 games this season, Sabonis averaged 15.8 points, 11.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 29.7 minutes. Sabonis' PER dropped from 22.6 last season to 18.7 this season.
Sabonis is under contract with the Kings through the 2027-28 season.
The Kings currently have the worst record in the NBA, which means they will draft no worse than fifth in June.
