Jayson Tatum Could Return From Achilles Injury On Friday

Jayson Tatum is expected to make his return from his torn Achilles as early as Friday's game when the Boston Celtics host the Dallas Mavericks. Tatum suffered the Achilles injury last May in the Eastern Conference Semifinals less than 10 months ago.
Tatum has been described as ready for game action and will ultimately make the decision over the next day if he's ready. Tatum is officially listed as questionable for the game.
Despite playing without Tatum and significant roster changes in the offseason as they traded Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis while also letting Luke Kornet and Al Horford leave in free agency, the Celtics are currently second in the Eastern Conference.
Tatum has been an All-NBA First Team selection in each of the past four seasons.
