Khris Middleton Won't Seek Buyout From Mavericks

Veteran wing Khris Middleton won't seek a buyout and intends to finish the season with the Dallas Mavericks. Middleton is in the final year of his contract and will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Several playoff teams had been linked to Middleton, if he took a buyout from Dallas. Now, those teams will need to turn their attentions elsewhere.

The deadline for players to be waived while retaining playoff eligibility, is Sunday, March 1. Any players on roster after that date who are waived will be ineligible to play in this year's postseason.
