Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Cleared To Return From Abdominal Strain

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been cleared to return from his abdominal strain that has forced him to miss the past nine games. Gilgeous-Alexander is not on the Oklahoma City Thunder injury report for Friday's game against the Denver Nuggets.

Gilgeous-Alexander can only miss six more games and remain eligible for regular season awards.

Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 31.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 33.3 minutes and is the current favorite to win NBA Most Valuable Player.

The Thunder hold a one-game lead in the loss column for first place in the Western Conference ahead of the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs hold the tiebreaker over the Thunder based on their head-to-head matchup.
