Steve Kerr Excited To Have Kristaps Porzingis In The Mix

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr isn't sure when Kristaps Porzingis will make his debut for the Warriors, but Kerr is excited for it to happen. Golden State acquired Porzingis from the Atlanta Hawks for Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield at the trade deadline.

"Kristaps has been here the last handful of days, and practiced today with the team," Kerr said on Tuesday about Porzingis' status as the team returns from the All-Star break.

"Looks good. He's feeling good. We won't make a determination until after tomorrow, when we practice tomorrow afternoon. We'll get up and down the floor and scrimmage, which we didn't do today."

When Porzingis does play for the Warriors, Kerr envision him fitting in well withing the team's offense.

"He's an easy fit," Kerr said about his new big man. "You don't have to change a whole lot. You know, the biggest difference, I guess, that he provides is his post-ups. He's a pretty good post-up player, especially against switches. You throw him the ball at the foul line, the elbows, even the low block."
