Zach Edey To Undergo Ankle Surgery; Brandon Clarke Out At Least Two More Weeks

The Memphis Grizzlies released a pair of medical updates for members of their frontcourt. Center Zach Edey and forward Brandon Clarke will both continue to be out for the Grizzlies.
Edey will soon undergo surgery on his left ankle. Edey originally underwent surgery on June 10 and missed the first few weeks of the season. The 7-foot-3 center then returned to play in 11 games from mid-November through early-December. Edey then had further pain in his ankle and hasn't played since. Memphis said a timeline for his return to basketball activities will be shared after his upcoming surgery.
Clarke has been out since late-December due to a right calf strain. The Grizzlies said he'll miss at least two more weeks to continue to rehab fully from the strain. In an injury-plagued season, Clarke has played in just two games for Memphis.
